Graduation is the culmination of a student’s high school years and should be a happy and memorable event. We are anxious to provide a program that our graduates will always remember and have arranged the following activities:
Please note that these are the only school sponsored graduation activities.
ANY OTHER EVENTS ARE NOT SUPPORTED BY SAINT FRANCIS CATHOLIC SECONDARY SCHOOL AND WILL NOT BE CHAPERONED BY SCHOOL STAFF.
Each student must successfully complete 40 hours of community service by May 31 and attain 30 credits (including Religion) by June 24. Failure to satisfy these requirements will exclude the student from the Graduation exercises. Community services hours must be handed in by MAY 1 to be considered for graduation awards.
Each student will be expected to participate in a one-day school retreat at the board wide Graduation Celebration.
Each student must complete a confidential graduation profile that is used for scholarship purposes. Information collected includes student involvement in both school and community activities, parish involvement, community service, and financial need. We also collect information for grad gown sizing, student email and a graduation yearbook comment. These are due to the Student Services Secretary by Feb. 28.
Rehearsal for the graduation exercise will take place at the Performing Arts Centre on JUNE 24.
ATTENDANCE AT REHEARSAL IS MANDATORY.
The graduation exercises will be held at the Performing Arts Centre. All graduates must be at the Performing Arts Centre by 12:00 p.m. sharp. Each graduate will receive guest tickets. Contact Student Services to request additional tickets by September 15th.
