Sadiekie Hayden made an impact on both sides of the ball Thursday afternoon for the Saint Francis Phoenix senior football team.

The Grade 12 slotback/halfback caught a nine-yard TD pass for the game’s only score and added an interception to lead the Phoenix (2-0) to a hard-hitting 6-0 victory over the host Denis Morris Reds (0-2).

“He’s a big asset to the team and we are very happy to have him. He’s in Grade 12 and hopefully he comes back next year,” Saint Francis head coach Joe Lentini said.
